London: Arnold Schwarzenegger will apparently be reprising his role as the Terminator, the cyborg character he first played 10 years ago, for a new story of the sci-fi classic.

I know: it's hard to keep your finger on the blurring lines of human sexual identity. And why should you? Labels don't matter anymore, and the LGBTQIA acronym keeps expanding. But that "T" has been there a mighty long time. So why is the interest in Trans style suddenly peaking again?
The fashion world has always had its share of cult trans models. Stephen Sprouse's trans-muse Teri Toye caused ripples in Lower Manhattan in the '80s, and the mind-blowingly beautiful Andrej Pejic has stomped both men's and women's runways in the here and now. But those are anomalies, right?
Don't tell American Apparel. They just rallied a "transexy" cattle call in their Chelsea Store over Instagram. Publicity? Sure. Pandering to the LGBT customer? They chose the Chelsea location, didn't they?
But maybe we are at a tipping point. Bradley Manning's gender reassignment is only raising eyebrows because he wants the government to pony up for it. And Lana Wachowski's transition barely raised eyebrows at all.
So maybe American Apparel has it right, maybe it's just time. I can buy that. America is nothing if not surprising, and everyone looks good in a tee shirt.

Some major stars like Rihanna and Lady Gaga have made it their calling card to go bare on the red carpet in gutsy see-through outfits. OK, to be fair, sometimes the ladies might just be suffering an unintentional wardrobe malfunction, and the glare of spotlights and flash bulbs, or a sudden breeze, are to blame.

'Gori Tere Pyar Mein' posters club city, rural lives

New Delhi: Director Punit Malhotra has revealed the two posters of his forthcoming movie `Gori Tere Pyaar Mein`, starring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Their attire and backdrop are a combination of city and rural lives.
Going by the look of the posters, it seems Imran is playing a city-based guy and Kareena is acting as a simple girl from village dressed in salwaar kameez. In the first poster, Imran and Kareena are seen sitting opposite each other on a broken bridge as their eyes meet. The poster goes well with the tagline of the movie "Only love can bridge the gap".
In the second poster, Imran is standing next to Kareena, with a clay pot on his head, while the actress is seen striking a pose next to him. The actors are standing on a bunch of hay and the background shows a bridge in a city.
Kareena`s bright coloured clothes definitely get one`s attention.
Punit, who has worked with Imran in `I Hate Luv Storys` will be working with Kareena for the first time.
He revealed the first look on Twitter Sunday and captioned the posters as: "With a lot of love and passion we`ve made a film.. Here`s the first look ... Our first two posters."
The cast and crew of the movie recently finished shooting in Bhuj, Gujarat.
This is not the first time Kareena and Imran are sharing screen space. They were seen together in slice-of-life 2012 movie `Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu`.
Produced by Dharma Productions, `Gori Tere Pyaar Mein` is set to release Nov 22.

Women should carry knife to protect themselves: Shilpa Shetty

Mumbai:Urging women to become "self-reliant", Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty today recommended them to carry a knife to protect themselves from molesters.

"Some people and molesters have a sick mentality... Police are doing their best to protect us, but how much they would do? Women should be self-reliant and carry a knife when they
are in crowd," the actress told reporters here when her opinion was sought against the backdrop of recent assaults on women and gang-rapes in the metropolis.

The 38-year-old actor was speaking at Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle on the sidelines of a programme organised by the city police to create awareness among the Ganesh mandals about the safety and security during the ten-day Ganesh festival starting from Monday.

"We are reading in newspapers about such incidents (assaults on women). I am just fed up and sometimes I feel what kind of society we are living in," she said.

The actor thanked the policemen for their "good work".

"The job of policemen is extremely difficult and they are doing it in an extraordinary way. Entire load should not be put on the shoulders of policemen (during the Ganesh festival)...You become a responsible citizen and if you find anything unclaimed at any pandal, kindly inform the police," the actor appealed.

Open to do intimate scenes if script demands: Kareena Kapoor Khan

Mumbai: Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan says that marriage has not changed her perception towards roles in films and she is open to do intimate scenes if the script demands.
"Marriage has nothing to do with the kind of roles or such things... I fail to understand why people associate love or marriage with your career," Kareena said in an interview here.Kareena had done some intimate scenes in Vishal Bhardwaj`s `Omkara` with Ajay Devgn and there was also a kissing scene with Aamir Khan in `3 Idiots`.
In Prakash Jha`s recently-released film `Satyagraha`, there was a romantic sequence between Kareena and co-star Ajay Devgn. However, Kareena reportedly refused do the scene.
"It was all media reported. Whatever the script requires, I do it. But in a film like `Satyagraha` I feel it was not required. It was not a romantic film that we need to have it (kissing and intimate scene)...It was more about the fight of a common man against the system," Kareena said.
When asked if her husband actor Saif Ali Khan had seen `Satyagraha`, she said, "No. He does not watch films much."
Saif and Kareena tied the knot last October after a five-year courtship.
"I don`t feel overburdened by responsibilities. My priority has always been my family. I have always balanced my personal and professional life and I will continue to do so," she added.
Kareena is happy with the response she is getting for
her latest film 'Satyagraha'.
"I am trying to add variety in my work and 'Satyagraha' is not a regular film. I am happy with the kind of response we are getting for the film. It shows that things are changing today and people are ready to accept film with good content," she said.
The film released on August 30 and raked in over Rs 50 crore at the box office so far.
'Satyagraha' reflects the uprising of the middle class against a corrupt and unjust system and how a turn of events leads to a movement to challenge the status quo. It is the story of a man who is a firm believer of Gandhian principles.
When asked if a film can bring about a change in the society, she said, "Cinema is not meant to do something, the government must do something. We are actors, we are not politicians. It is a bonus if there is an inspirational feeling or solution. Ultimately it is a film so it is meant to entertain people."
The political drama film directed by Prakash Jha featured Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee, Arjun Rampal, Amrita Rao and Kareena in the lead.
"Considering the kind of films he (Prakash Jha) makes, he is quite opposite of that in real life. He makes us at ease, comfortable and relax. Though this film seems to be of heavy subject, it was fun doing it," she said.
Kareena, who shared screen space with Big B for the third time, after 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham' and 'Dev', says, "He is a living legend and a great actor I have worked with him in the past as well. It is always an honor to share screen with him. Our families have known each other since long time. Whenever we had free time in between the shoot, we all used to chat about various things. It was fun."
The actress will next be seen opposite Imran Khan in 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein', for which she is shooting and then will pair opposite Hrithik Roshan in 'Shuddhi'. She will also be doing a special appearance in Saif Ali's upcoming film 'Happy Ending'.

Like to make a sequel or remake of 'Blue': Anthony D'Souza

Mumbai: Director Anthony D`Souza says even though his debut film `Blue` failed at the box office, he is ready to make either a sequel or remake of that movie.
`Blue` (2009), an underwater action thriller film starred Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan in lead roles. The film received negative response from critics and failed to garner audience`s attention."I think it is my fault. The film failed because the script was not that tight enough. I take the blame for it (failure). I think it failed in the department of emotions and Indianess. I have learnt a lesson," D`Souza said.
But the director has expressed his desire to make either a sequel or remake of `Blue`. There were media reports also regarding the same. "I had never come on record saying I would make a sequel... It was the imagination of media. But yes if given a chance I would like to make a sequel or remake if I had a right script. But as of now there is no script," he said.
D`Souza seems quite excited about his next release action comedy film `Boss`, which is a remake of Malayalam movie `Pokkiri Raja`.
The film features Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari and Ronit Roy in the lead roles and is set to release on 16 October.

Why-Fi? How Did Sci-fi Become Such Big Business?

Matt Damon stars in TriStar Pictures' ELYSIUM.
As any cultural historian will attest, sci-fi has always reflected our collective anxieties. Like how the Red Scare is the agreed-upon subtext of Cold War-era classics like The Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
But the hands-down bugaboo has always been Science Run Amok, and its big brother, Technology Out of Control. Nuclear penance, clones gone wild, evil robots, planets built by machines...you get the picture. But something happened on the way to the 21st Century. Let's call it Star Wars Syndrome. FX, it turns out, is irresistible.
Effects-driven extravaganzas captured the zeitgeist in a whole new way. They're sexy, and sex sells. Besides, by the time mainframes were replaced by Macs, our cultural anxieties about technology were melting away. How scary can technology be when you're under under the same roof with it?
So thank you, smart phone, tablet and laptop for calming our cultural nerves. And hat tip to Industrial Light and Magic, for illuminating our path to the Apple Store.
Sci-fi, it would appear, is here to stay. At least until somebody is attacked by a demonic iPad.

The `Scarface` actress has long been feted as one of Hollywood`s most beautiful leading ladies, and admits she struggled to watch herself grow older as her career progressed, reported Contactmusic.
"Once you get over a certain hump there actually is less pressure. You can begin to look great for your age. You don`t have to look young anymore.

"I`ve moved over to that other side - I`m 55, which is a little too close to 60, but looking great for my age is okay now... Having to watch yourself age on a giant movie screen is simply not natural. It can wreak havoc on your psyche," she said.

Katy Perry meditates every morning

London: Pop star Katy Perry has revealed she begins every day with a meditation session to prepare her for work.
The 28-year-old singer practices the ancient Indian technique every morning while sitting on her bed with her eyes closed for about 20 minutes to make sure she is relaxed and in a good mood before she starts work, reported Contactmusic.
"I start the day with transcendental meditation. It puts me in the best mood. I wake up and just prop myself up in bed for 20 minutes. It`s the only time my mind gets absolute rest. When I`m asleep, my subconscious mind is switched on and, when I`m awake, I`m alert," Perry said.
The `Roar` hitmaker also takes vitamins to give her an afternoon `energy boost`, which she believes helps her with digestion too.
"Like everyone I have a four o`clock slump. I take vitamins after lunch and they give me an energy boost. I have iron, vitamins B, C and D and probiotics, which help with my digestion," Perry added.

Jennifer Hudson Impresses in Uneven 'WInnie Mandela' Biopic

With few acting credits to her name, and most of them supporting parts, Jennifer Hudson might not be your first candidate to handle a character whose story is so rich, substantial, and famously important as that of Winnie Mandela. The Mandelas have earned no shortage of cinematic attention — later this year, Idris Elba will headline his own Nelson Mandela biopic (a project that is earning a crescendo of attention). But the daunting task of portraying the indisputably iconic figure is not one that falls beyond Hudson's reach. In Winnie Mandela, a biographical film by South African director Darrell Roodt, Hudson is the qualitative stand-out.
Jumping sharply from one major point in Winnie's life to another, the script seems more focused on paying tribute to the booming beats of the woman's history than it is to delivering a fluid, cohesive story. With figures like Winnie and her husband Nelson (played in this production by Terrence Howard), it seems like an understandably frantic task to pack every influential bit into the 107-minute runtime, for fear of disrespecting their legacy. However, when the Mandelas begin to feel less like dimensional characters and more like textbook entries, the endeavor actually does a disservice to their humanistic plight. But luckily, the film never falls too far in this regard, thanks largely to the wonders worked by Hudson.
Again, you might not expect someone known best as a professional singer to be able to handle the meat of Winnie Mandela. But she manages both a vigilant strength and a pervasive compassion, laying claim to every scene all the while operating in a vat of deft chemistry with Howard. As the years pass for Winnie, Hudson too grows, handling the evolution of the character with impressive tact. The Winnie we see in the later chapters is a different woman, sure, but one firmly planted in the Winnie we meet at the start of the film — one brought to fight neighborhood boys and adhere eyes to her school books every waking minute.
While writer/director Roodt does not inject his feature with the sort of color and vivacity that a story about the Mandelas does indubitably warrant, we're rarely disengaged entirely, and that we owe to Hudson. Roodt might not have quite found the spirit of Winnie Mandela in his film, but Hudson found it in her performance.

Lance Armstrong Flix Pile Up: Dude, We Forgive You Already

'The Place Beyond The Pines' Madrid photocall at Hotel Santo Mauro Featuring: Bradley Cooper Where: Madrid, Spain When: 04 Sep 2013 Credit: WENN.com **Only available for publication in Germany. Not available for publication in the rest of the world.**
Talent is circling around competing Lance Armstrong projects, all of them predicated on America's need to forgive heroes who fall. We do, but not more than once. There are currently three films in development, which is at least two too many.
Bradley Cooper is reportedly attached as producer and actor to a version Jay Roach will direct. Ben Foster has signed on to a Stephen Frears telling of the tale. And heavyweight J.J. Abrams is said to be developing a project based on Juliet Macur's Cycle Of Lies: The Fall Of Lance Armstrong, which he is rumored to have approached Cooper about.
So Hollywood appears to be closing in on filmmaker Alex Gibney's documentary about Armstrong's fall from grace, The Armstrong Lie, which just debuted at The Venice Film Festival. How will a biopic version stack up? That pretty much depends on who gets there first.

'Haunted Nights...' shooting different, finds Sachin Parikh

New Delhi: TV actor Sachin Parikh, currently seen in `Haunted Nights - Kaun Hai Woh?`, says graphics and art work used in the supernatural show makes it different from regular TV shows.
"The shooting and all is very different from a normal show. It consumes a lot of time and also takes a toll on you. There are a lot of graphics and art work involved in the look of the show," Sachin, who has acted in shows like `Na Bole Tum...Na Maine Kuch Kaha` and `Kuch Toh Log Kahenge`, told reporters.
He also says that `Haunted Nights...` is a combination of family drama and horror, which is something that hasn’t been seen before.
“I am sure people will love it as it is a combination of family drama and supernatural thriller. There are eerie things in every episode plus there is drama...never in the past has such a show been aired," he said.
There have been supernatural shows in the past which have not worked well on television. He said that the reason for their failure is they are not aired daily due to which their continuity breaks.
“Supernatural shows have not worked as they are not shown on a regular basis. They are shown on a weekly episode basis due to which people are not able to keep up with the storyline. They break that connection and the next time it comes, they have to try and remember what happened,” said Sachin, who is also seen in the show `Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon...Ek Baar Phir`.

Naveen Andrews preferred 'Caught In Flight' to 'Diana'

Los Angeles: Actor Naveen Andrews thinks 'Caught In Flight', the original title for new biopic 'Diana', was a more fitting name for the movie.
The 44-year-old portrays Hasnat Khan, the former lover of the late Princess Diana, in the biopic which focuses on the last two years of the royal's life before her tragic death in August 1997, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
When quizzed on why the title was changed, Andews told BANG Showbiz: "I preferred 'Caught In Flight'! I personally don't know why it was changed. I always thought in the way the film was structured - it's about the last two years of her life - the original title made sense."
Khan started dating Diana, the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, after meeting her in September 1995 and the pair eventually split in June 1997 after the heart surgeon decided he wouldn't be able to cope with the attention if they went public with their romance.
Naomi Watts portrays Princess Diana in the biopic.
